Amazing game and it's free to play! There's so many things to do and ship combat is fun.

Well, that is a fun and addictive game. Still, it has loads of potential that may and should be developed.This game is free so would give 9/10.
Very good game. The Assassins Creed IV replacement I needed. Quick and easy to play but with great combat mechanics.
I would write a long drawn out post about this game & how incrediblly good & easy it is' But i am not. Im going to write a short simple review about how the game is meant to a fun easy game if you just don't do stupid stuff & take your time.I can't stress enough on taking the first base then just doing cargo hauls to get the next bigger ship which is a brig i believe then fully out fitting it' & never spending any coins/gold on anything you can not afford to prevent crew payment.Buy green items then sell to other ports with same items in red = coin & as a Ferengi once said buying low then selling high = PROFIT! & lots of it.I have yet to spend any real money on this game but i intend to as i want the candy from the pirate in the portless ship :)

What can you say about this game , perhaps a little , rather simple and small as a fun game for a pirate theme , all the necessary attributes, I mean the fight on the ships, pirate lairs, treasure hunt, etc. are present.

How to make this game super easy-1. get the smuggling perk2. pick two ports that you are ffriendly with, perferably tycoon 3. sail between them untill you get a smuggling mission4. buy that item in bulk and sell everything else, including cannonballs5. sell6. repeat untill you can buy all the maps7. get an extra 10k8. buy a frigate, uprade everything that helps with bording, (falconets, muskets, bigger crew, etc)9. confront a 2d rate and immiditally board10. capture it, upgrade it as mentioned above11. do the same, but to a first rate12 use this to get 4 first rates13 winwinwinwinwinwinwinwinwin

1. Get corsair upgrade, max out all the boarding upgrades, get commodore 1 and 22. Get 4 sloops3. Keep chanting to yourself &I'm the captain now&Best free Somalian simulator out there, 10/10 would capture Tom Hanks again

Got so excited when I first saw this. Sailing mechanics are good, combat is simple but enjoyable. Now on to the bad stuff and there's a lot. First off the menus are terrible. The UI is unintuitive with no hover-over tool tips for anything. The menus stretch below the bottom of the screen and you have to manual click and drag the windows up to actually see all of it. The writing and formating of the text is confusing and sounds like slightly broken english at times. There are no graphics settings apart from an arbitrary slider and the resolution settings in-game only change the resolution of the environment and not the UI. The control layout is very poorly chosen with not many binds and yet a whole load of them bound to the F keys with no way to change them.It is apparently a mobile port which is not mentioned anywhere in the description and it claims to have multi-player and co-op which I have seen no evidence of with no option to join any servers or anywhere to see a player count. It as free to play and being a mobile port it obviously has micro transactions. From how it looks you seem to be able to buy anything in the game including XP with real money and are encouraged to do so right off the bat. If this carries over into the supposed multi-player then it is blatantly pay-to-win. Being a mobile port I won't talk about the graphics although it could do with some anti aliasing. I don't yet know if it is actually open world and you can sail to any location on the map in real-time because the game immediately tells you to teleport everywhere and from the look of it, it might just be split into different play areas which you can switch between. It does have a fair amount of depth for a mobile game with different ships, upgrades, character skills and trading but overall it's just a bad port. I do think it could be made into a really good game with a lot of work and most of the things I mention would be okay if it was in Alpha but this is apparently a finished product so I doubt any of it will be changed. This game is basically people trying to spread the cancer that is mobile gaming to PC. Avoid.=EDIT=If you refer to the comments, Popcorn Colonel pointed out that it is open world and explained how it works. Also the last line of the review was not meant to be taken seriously.I'm happy to discuss but please if you have a counter then at least actually make your counter argument rather than just dismissing everything I said.As far as my playtime goes, I got into the game and immediately realised it was not what I expected, so I went around and tested the parts of the game relevent to the points I made in the review. Again, please provide an intelligent counter if you're going to comment.

The UI is sluggish and off putting. The controls feel like I am slogging through a bowl of thick oatmeal. Within the first two minutes they informed me of a sale that if I buy something they will give me a ship for free. The graphics are unity store assets and look just &ok&.If you need a pirate fix, try it, it seems fair. Steam only gives a thumb up or down, it is more of a thumbs side-ways but meh, whatever.
There is a cash shop, and the game is somewhere inside of it. It needs less cash-shop flashing, &buy-now& immersion breaking stuff. You can buy skill points, buy repair kits, and other stuff that should not be able to be bought. Even if it does not give you an advantage, it is part of the game, soon we will have all RPG titles have shops and when you get EXP you will need to open your wallet and buy skill points. Stuff like this is indicative of the slow downfall of gaming. And our ilk keep on buying into it. Buying skill points seems counterintuitive to gaming as a whole. It is like cutting off your schmeckle and wondering why you can't have kids. I will say this, buying skill points is something a pirate would put in a game, if he made one. Arg! Want to advance? Buy a skill point ya scallywag! or else me mates are going to pull down your pants and plunder your booty until it bleeds! Yes, me mates will hold ye down and repeated plunder your booty until ye part with that wallet.
This here game we be playing is called pay for convenience. Needs more blood. They could up the violence aspect 10 fold and it would help. Why do all these pirate games lack gore? You think pirates were some kinda vegan puss puss people? Meh, I am ranting. Try it and see. Can't hurt you, it is free. If you think that developers need to eat, too. They could slap a $19.99 price tag on this game and remove the shop. That would make this game a thousand times better.No, they chose to be greedy. The cash shop, the bilking of the common man, the violent plundering of his poor booty.

Despite some of the negative reviews, I decided to try this game because it was free and I have been looking for a game like this for a long time. After playing for 3 hours, I am still enjoying it and plan on playing it a lot longer.At first, I couldn't figure out how to steer. I went into the options and there was a setting to turn the steering wheel on.The graphics are nice at 1080p with all the effects turned on. I really like the open world and different missions you can partake in to capture ships, smuggle goods, steal cargo, etc.There are a LOT of ships you can fight against, capture, or buy. Every ship has a tree with upgrades, and you can purchase these upgrades at a port. Such upgrades include adding guns to the bow or stern, strengthening the hull, or improving the sales. Even your character can be upgraded once you gain enough experience points. You can also start your own pirate town and build buildings to manufacture goods to trade, store goods that you've acquired, or generate money.The maps required to unlock parts of the map cost in game gold, but to unlock the buildings required to generate currency at your pirate town does cost real money. It's very inexpensive anyway, and I think I only paid a few bucks for the full experience. I haven't, nor do I plan, to purchase gold or ships with real money.This game is not pay to win, because if you spend real money on the largest &best& ships, your in game gold income will not support crews that large for long. It's best to stay with smaller ships with smaller crews until you build up your income.I haven't tried the multiplayer part yet, so no review there.The music gets really repetitive, so I've keep it turned off. I wish there were more animations on the world map. I wish the crew on the ships were animated.Overall, If you really like games about ships, pirates, smugglers, merchants, etc. definitely give this one a try.I give it a 4/5

The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt
This is a free game moved from the phone. It's really pretty cool production, there is not much to download and will work on any computer. In the game you are the captain of a pirate ship and our goal is to explore the world. The game offers a large number of vessels, the development of the fleet, upgrading ships and our skills, naval battles, conquering pirate bases, a large map, reputation system and much more. Pretty cool production, its worth checking.

Sid Meier's Pirates grows up and meets a better Pirates of the Burning Sea. If you enjoyed Sid Meier's Pirates but you wished for a less arcady feel, if you enjoyed POTBS but wished for a more realistic look and feel on the world map, as well as in battle, minus all the idiots, welcome to Pirate: Caribbean Hunt.
This game has something for everyone, when your looking for a tall ships game. 1. A good number and varriety of customizable ships, to include captians skills.2. It has a fast travel option for those wanting to do quests, but are strapped for time.3. For those that have lots of time, click on the open world tab, raise your sails, set a direction and explore.
4. English, Spanish, French, Dutch, and the Danish are all present in this game.5. A pirate base.
You have the ability to construct unique buildings, then improve upon them, to create a source of income, supplies, and trade goods.6.
PVP/PVE customizable battles, that you can host or join.Id like to thank the developers at Home Net Games, your team did one heck of a job, well done.Its the game I've been waiting for, for a very long time, Thanks.

A very difficult game indeed! Dont worry about the &in app purchases& as its just gold purchases with real money nothing really annoying to make it Pay to WinPros :+ Multiplayer actually works and you can instantly join friends with barely any lag+ Boat fights and cannon attacks are so damn good, nothing to hard when fighting+ Graphics is pretty decent for a free to play game Cons :- UI is annoying to work with but you can get used to it - Graphics menu is a bit glitched and goes off the screen- Controls are pretty annoying I recommend this alot 4/5
