南雄三影塔景区介绍
　　三影塔位于广东省南雄市区永康路。三影塔建于北宋大中祥符二年（公元1009年），明代正统十一年（公元1446年）重修过。三影塔被列为全国重点文物保护单位。 　　三影塔原名延祥寺塔，是延祥寺的一座建筑物，是广东省仅有的有绝对年份可考的北宋早期砖塔。在光滑如镜的寺壁上，竟然可以反射出三个塔影，一影向上，两影倒悬，所以延祥寺塔被称为三影塔。延祥寺内的一间厅堂也被称为“三影堂”，可惜这座古寺庙早已毁掉，由于光线折射而出现的一塔三影的奇观也随之消失了。据《南雄州志》载，“祥符二年酉异人建塔，其影有三，二影倒悬，一影向上，故曰三影塔。”现塔身二层南面塔壁仍有塔砖刻有：“大中祥符二年三月十日”字样砖铭。 　　三影塔为九层楼阁式砖塔，平面六角形，外九层、内十六层，楼阁式，高50.2米，塔内设有木梯通向顶层，每层楼筑平座建栏杆，每上一层均须钻出塔门，绕塔身一段，才能进入另一塔门，再向上攀登。每层设平座、木栏。砖砌斗栱，雄浑古朴。六角攢尖铁铸塔刹由覆盆、宝瓶、九层相轮及宝珠组成。塔内各层设六角塔室，铺砌楼板，有楼梯可登塔。 & 　　三影塔的塔身每层都伸出飞檐和栏杆，每个檐角的梁头下都悬挂着一只铜钟，全塔共挂了48个铜钟，每条檐脊的端部各蹲伏着一只酱红色的陶貔貅。貔貅是传说中的一种猛兽，形状似虎，毛色灰白。古时候人们常用它来作为军队的称呼。但这三影塔的陶貔貅却是有着一段神话传说，相传在南朝时候，梁武帝萧衍的长子萧统，曾经隐居于始兴的傅大士那里读书。 　　有一年，始兴、南雄疫病流行，死人甚多。萧统为了治病救民，奋起追瘟，从始兴追到南雄的瑞应山，见到一只貔貅，便促住它，斩去它的角，磨水给民众治病。这样很快就扑灭了这场瘟疫。后人为了纪念这位性情温和，心地仁慈的太子，便在瑞应山前建了一间延祥寺来祭祀他。到了宋代建塔的时候，又将陶制貔貅放在檐角，寄以祛灾托福之意。 & 　　作为岭南古建筑的三影塔，在古建史上有着较高的艺术价值和历史价值。&
