我现在在上班还没试，但是我看这个帖子还是不错的，很多人试了。
我准备回家就试试。
鉴于贴吧小白比较多，我本人也是小白，所以希望万能的黄龙众能鉴定一下！
大概意思是: 装了正版游戏的电脑现在有两个插件，一个是新的 flashpalyer11ActieX
还有个是旧的 flashpalyer11Plugin，把这个旧的删了，留下那个新的。

目前战斗十分流畅，画面也赏心悦目。就是战略大地图略有卡顿，关掉al行动后也不赖，其他都很满意了。另外郑重提醒各位，画面设置里面景深这一项很重要，并且基本不影响帧数。

一般人有装plugin的应该都和activeX同版本，说旧版明显是电脑小白。如果删了plugin能提高帧数的话，那么只能说和plugin冲突了，或者可能百科的视频就看不了了~~见仁见智吧~~

用了论坛置顶里FAQ所说的任何方法，都没能解决罗马重装问题，总是提示出错，搜以前的帖子，发现很多人也有同样问题，都是重装系统
不甘心，又google了一下，发现一篇老外的帖子可以完全解决，在这里给大家转一下：

IMPORTANT: This is not tested with BI (I have not bought BI yet), though it should fix most BI install/reinstall problems.

译者注：其实我遇到的BI问题只有安装后进入时跳出，用论坛置顶贴里的“Performance”文件夹的方法可以完美解决，一般BI删除不会出现问题
This is the procedure I use in fixing RTW computers. It has been used a lot (I just tested & revised it again with bad installs of Patch 1.5), but read and understand it before plowing in. It will solve about 80% of the most common install/reinstall problems, and is based on official Activision procedures. If registry entries/program files are missing/nonexistant when at a step to remove them, just continue anyway. Do not arbitrarily skip steps unless you understand why you are doing so. The penalty, however, is just that you could have wasted your time and need to do the whole thing again if your next install attempt fails. This procedure will allow RTW to reinstall in many cases.
这里说的很罗嗦，我只简要解释：本方法可以解决80%罗马安装/重装方面的问题，并且基于官方的方法，可能你的问题并不能完全符合其中步骤，比如说：提到的注册表键值你只能照到部分，但是不影响操作，你只要继续就行。一般不要随便跳过步骤（除非你找不到要删除的东西，或者你知道你在做什么）。
ASSUMPTIONS:
这里超级啰嗦，说的是一些前提条件，可以跳过，比如说要关闭杀毒软件等，完全不必，只要在杀毒软件询问你是否执行相应操作时，确定执行就可以，如果没有一点这方面的知识，还是重装吧........这一部分跳过
1. No overclocking
2. System has a known stable power supply
3. Motherboard BIOS and Video Card BIOS is up to date, and properly configured
4. System is clean & relatively free of dust inside (e.g., no heating/fan problems)
5. No viruses (strongly recommend NOD32 over all other AV programs!)
6. No spyware or adware (suggest freeware Spybot - Search & Destroy)
7. No rootkits: since early 2005, that your have never had any Sony music CD in your computer (specifically, that the undetectable Sony rootkit has ever been installed you your machine... even if it has been supposedly 'removed')
8. Disable Anti-virus protection & close all background programs and unnecessary processes (use CTRL-ALT-DEL and also look in the Tray)
9. Assuming game was installed to default C:\, with Windows XP SP2 system default directory names
10: Before beginning, back up any RTW files you want to keep, like savegames, preferences.txt, etc.
11. Normal RTW uninstall (e.g., via Control Panel) tried, but failed.
12. You are not using cracks, hacks, nocd, warez files, cloak/hide software, etc.
13. You use an original RTW disk #1 to run the game.
这段是警告，也是废话，不要理会，说是如果误操作注册表，会导致系统崩溃，其实不必担心，只要按它的来，别删错东西就行，此段跳过
This procedure is for an Advanced user. Some parts are based/quoted on official Acitvision solutions. Read/understand the whole procedure before beginning. Do not attempt registry changes if you are not comfortable editing the Registry (however, you will not be able to do the manual uninstall without Regedit). It is a good idea to back up your registry FIRST, and also KNOW HOW TO RESTORE IT! Know this: Altering the *wrong* things in the registry could result in complete operating system failure. Get someone to help you if you are not sure!

You can manually remove RTW from your system in 4 steps:

STEP 1. Remove the registry entries

STEP 2. Remove the game files
第二步。完全删除游戏文件
STEP 3. Remove the RomeTW.ini
第三步。删除RomeTW.ini
STEP 4. Remove the Installer files
第四步。删除安装程序文件

Note 01: If any of the following keys are already removed (e.g., you carefully look, and they are simply not there, then go to the next step. Remember which ones are gone and post about it.
注释01：如果有些注册表键值你找不到，就应该是以前你的删除操作已将将其删掉了，所以不用理会，只要继续下一步就行，不过要仔细检查，不要漏删
Note 02: It may help viewing to turn off WORD WRAP in notepad (or your editor).

Note 03: The Objective of STEP 1 is to delete certain registry keys.

Note 04: In Regedit, you can enable View - StatusBar and look at the bottom of the Regedit window to see the full name of the key you are looking at -- Take a look at it to carefully VERIFY you are deleting the correct key.

1-01) Click Start then Run.
点击开始菜单
1-02) At the prompt type: REGEDIT. The registry editor will open.

1-03) Click the &+& next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
点击HKEY_CURRENT_USER旁的”+“号
1-04) Click the &+& next to SOFTWARE.
点开SOFTWARE
1-05) Right-Click & delete the &The Creative Assembly& entry (the sub-keys will be deleted too).
这句要注意，不要按他说的来，不然中2也会一起被删了！要这样：打开TheCreativeAssembly，删除RomeTW和RomeTW-BI，用右键，删除这两文件夹
Selecting a key to delete: note that the highlighted key appears in the Status Bar with it FULL key name... be sure to double-check this!
Right-click on a key to get the fly- choose Delete to delete it. Again, double-ckeck the full key name in the Status Bar.
ALL the sub-keys and sub-data will be deleted, too!注意不要删错！要用右键（唐僧他师傅再次警告大家......）
1-06) Click the &+& next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
点开HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
1-07) Click the &+& next to SOFTWARE.
点开SOFTWARE
1-08) Right-Click & delete the &The Creative Assembly& entry (the sub-keys will be deleted too).
右键完全删除The Creative Assembly（它其中子项也会全被删除）。这次不怕，因为中2注册信息这回放到SEGA里了
1-09) Go back to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE.

1-28) Delete the key named &Rome Total War - patch 1.3&
删除 &Rome Total War - patch 1.3&（我没找到，不影响）
下面扩住的部分我没作，因为我觉得上面的已经足够删完相关注册表键了，不过为了保险还是推荐操作

Click & highlight &My Computer&, then choose Edit - Find (or CTRL-F), and type in &Rome - Total War& as shown.
回到注册表的根”我的电脑”，选中，并按CTRL+F，弹出查找对话框，在其中输入&Rome - Total War&
Regedit will find the first match.
会自动查找相关项
Look at the Parent Key, and if it is relevant, delete it.
查看照到的键，如果相关，则删除
Use the F3 key to keep searching until the whole registry is done.
用F3继续查找，直到查完

1-30) Delete the related Parent Keys associated with each relevant match.

What is a &Parent Key&? It is the related key that contains relevant RTW or Activision or Sega or The Creative Assembly data.
The keys that have long numeric names (called CLSIDs) in the Install/Installer/Uninstall-related parts of the registry are the ones that frequently cause re-install failures.
怎样才算完全删除罗马相关的注册表键:
What to look for when deleting a RTW-related key.
1-31) A &Rome - Total War& entry should not appear in Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs
在控制面板--添加/删除中，应该不再显示 &Rome - Total War&了，如果还有的话，不管，接续先
1-32) If the RTW install process later attempts to Uninstall RTW first, then you need to repeat 1-29 thru 1-31.
如果你用第一张罗马盘安装时，他还显示Unistall RTW，你就必须再重复1-29到1-31
1-33) Close the registry editor
关闭注册表编辑器（最麻烦的部分已经完成了！）
Note 06: At this point, the
your registry is cleaned of commonly relevant RTW entries (though dozens may still remain).

Note 07: If you want to keep your savegames, copy them from the Saves directory now!

2-1) Double-click My Computer.

2-4) Double-click Total War
2-5) Right-click on the Rome: Total War folder and choose delete.
Note 08: Your RTW program files are now removed.

下面的步骤为：在C盘用CTRL+F查找RomeTW.ini；照到后删掉，一般会在C:\WINDOWS下。
3-1) Click the Start - Find (or Search) - Files & Folders
3-2) Search your C:\ drive for a file called RomeTW.ini
3-3) Delete the RomeTW.ini file (it should be in C:\WINDOWS, e.g., C:\WINDOWS\RomeTW.ini)

4-1) Set folder display otions to show hidden folders and files

4-3) Explorer - Tools - Options - View - UNCHECK &Hide protected operating system files&
4-4) Navigate to folder (it is normally hidden) C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation\

4-5) If present, delete folders called
删除下面四个文件夹：（找不全无所谓，找到哪个删哪个）

Note 09: Codecs -- RTW needs to have the codecs of WMP9 or WMP10 fully installed and functional (naturally, you also need a working sound card and good drivers). With Windows XP, if you suspect there is a problem with codecs (e.g., you may have installed other codecs and messed things up), then you might want to uninstall WMP10, then reinstall WMP10 if you suspect you have any codec-related problems. Ideally, you should uninstall WMP10, then reinstall it (purely to get the correct codecs installed an properly registered) before you make a clean install of RTW.

赞一下老外的严禁态度。。
话说我重装过N次罗马，每次都是简单的在控制面板里删除罗马以及其相应官方补丁而已。
但是这样做在重装罗马时还是会无法安装（只显示uninstall），其实只要进入CD1找到里面的setup.exe执行，它会自动帮你先删除再重装的，百试不爽。

我还试过直接删除罗马的文件包 然后用兔子清理完毕后
照样装得...

用兔子,your uninstaller条件是罗马在其卸载列表中，否则根本没用，我就碰到卸载失败，但your uninstaller列表中却根本没有，结果只好按LZ方法直到4-8才终于可以重装了
