As an open world vehicle simulator, BeamNG.drive will cover a large array of vehicular disciplines - everything from a delivery mission in a box truck to a high speed rally race or a destruction derby. The vehicle customization and detail will allow you to make your car or truck all your own - fix it up, upgrade it, or strip away body panels to reduce weight. There are a lot of different types of gameplay we want to implement beyond just racing and crashing, such as police chases, stunt challenges, and other specialized minigames. Eventually we would like to have some kind of single player open world career mode, with persistent vehicle ownership and procedurally generated used vehicles to buy and events to run them in.
In some ways, BeamNG.drive is about doing anything you want with a car or truck - the stuff other games don't let you do. You can go off-roading in a family sedan or hurl a delivery truck around a racing circuit, all with beautiful soft-body simulation physics. You can mod those same vehicles to be racing beasts, derby monsters, or off-road behemoths - or just thrash them stock. At the end of the day, BeamNG.drive gives you the gameplay you want, and doesn't force you to do anything that you don't think is fun or interesting.
As we optimize our game and computer technology improves, the amount of vehicles which can be simultaneously simulated at a smooth framerate will increase. Right now you can run 4 to 6 cars at one time on a high end quad-core processor. Each vehicle has around 400 nodes and 4000 beams, all being simulated 2000 times per second. We hope to expand the number of simultaneous vehicles possible to at least 8 with a mid-range processor.
We will also look towards having multiplayer in the future, but it may be some time before we can create the multiplayer experience everyone is expecting. We are well aware of the demand for multiplayer and we want it just as much as you, but for the short term we are focusing on the single player career mode, various driving events, fixing bugs, and creating more content. It is feasible that we could implement local and/or same PC multiplayer in the interim.
Also, the possibilities extend beyond land vehicles. Users in our community have already made planes and helicopters that fly purely with the existing vehicle aerodynamic physics, with no cheating whatsoever. BeamNG can simulate aircraft in a very authentic way due to its soft-body physics. All the flex that happens to a real plane's airframe arises naturally in BeamNG, and the consequences of excessive stress are also modeled. Fly too fast and your wings will start to bend and rip off. The potential for the BeamNG physics engine is huge.

Our main focus is on how things move rather than how things look on the screen. We aim to bring our expertise in real time soft-body physics and soft-body physics model design to the forefront of game physics simulation, making available the technology and know-how to as a wide an audience as possible. To achieve this, we are designing the engine and corresponding assets, so as to be independent of the underlying game engine and operating system.
Right now the physics engine is running on a multicore CPU configuration, but we are also in the process of supporting GPUs via OpenCL.

After 500 and a half hours of pure enjoyment, I believe it's safe to say this is one of the most robust soft-body physics simulation out there to date. I highly (almost offensivly) recommend this game to anyone looking for a in-depth vehicle simulation. The Devs push out an update once a month (I should mention some are delayed, but its worth the awesome content) which is quite rare now-a-days. I also should mention there is a great fan base with amazing forums, also can't forget the spectacular community mods that are out there. Cheers.

My Beamng Drive Review First of all, Ive clocked well over 150 hours in this game :P it seems like a long time but when your playing beamng it simply flies by, it may not look like there is much to do but trust me, there is. Some nice things about Beamng Drive: The graphics are still really nice on lower settings.Alot of cars to play around with and create custom variations.A decent amount of dev made maps already in the game for you.Fun to just cruse around the maps and enjoy the sceneary! Some bad things about Beamng Drive:
The game is very resource intencive, but can still be played without recommended parts. Frequent crashes/Physics pauses due to some car bugs. Some (All most all) mods are going to crash the game at some point. The Utah map is quite laggy due to size and amount of different hills.So, if you are thinking about getting Beamng Drive then you might as well, there is alot of fun to be had on this game and the amount of vehicles and variations is great, the cars are all very profesionally modeled and are unique to this game. Most of the vehicles are some sort of immitation of a real life vehicle. Mods There are an extreme amount of mods on the beamng drive forums and other websites hosting mods, there are alot of different mods including different engine mods, more vehicles, more vehicle variations and alot more!For me Beamng Drive is 100% 10/10, You have to expect bugs in physics games like these, they are made to simulate real life and usually dont have bugs at lower speeds... But high speed is still fun!

Honestly, I don't usually write reviews unless I am really happy with a game. I never play car games or racing games so this was a little bit of a risk for me. Best 64.5 hours in a car game ever. I play this with my brother, we challenge each other to go farthest without crashing. Also, we stage epic crashes. However, this game has it's fair share of bugs. One very annoying one is when the tyres burst and it turns into a glitchy, terrifying instability that moves by itself... It is very disapointing to do a cool crash just to get a massive instability and have the game reset your car to stop the whole game crashing. But, you know, it's a truely great game and I'm sure these glitches and bugs will be fixed eventually.

This is what I've been looking for!Modding keeps the game interesting with fresh items and it's a no brainer to install many mods to this.Have control of your senario! You can change everything from what brakes you use to even editing the terrian on maps. Spawn custom items into the map like walls, ramps, signs even a cannon.Game is actively updating, and they are doing a great job with the updates! Has tons of replay vaule, if you're the type of person who can really put themselves into the game you'll have no problem playing for hours.The default senarios aren't all the best, but you can always download more, or wait for future updates to add/improve them.Get this now, before the price goes up!

As an early access game at the moment BeamNG Drive does the job quite well as a simulation and physics based driving game. It has a pretty robust physics engine so a lot of the times everything happening on screen was just pure insanity but in a good way. I think of it as Goat Simulator with a car but with more to offer and hours of fun.It's the perfect time waster when I wanna sit down and play a game that has no boundries at all and it keeps getting better with frequent updates that add a lot to the game. I do reccommend you check it out even in Early Access as the $25 is perfect for the amount of content you're getting all together. I seriously can't wait for this game to come out of Early Access and you should too

After watching many Youtube videos of this game, I got very bored after i played around with all the settings. The game was too expensive in my opinion and it was very hard to add props to the game. I am a modder and i just couldn't seem to add mods. (it wouldn't load files after i downloaded them)
